Our Story
Like many modern romances, theirs began with a swipe. Kirby was scrolling through Hinge when he came across McKenna's profile. Something about her caught his attention, and without hesitation, he swiped right. After a few days of chatting, Kirby asked for McKenna's number, but life got in the way, and she didn’t respond right away. Days turned into weeks, and Kirby, thinking the moment had passed, decided to delete Hinge. Little did he know, he was just one day too early.
Fast forward two months. Feeling optimistic, Kirby decided to log back into Hinge, and there, waiting for him, was a message from McKenna—sent weeks earlier, with her phone number included. Kirby immediately texted her, apologizing for the delay, and the conversation picked up right where it had left off.
After a week or two of texting, McKenna finally agreed to meet up with this boy who had unknowingly “ghosted” her. They chose Postino’s Wine Bar for their first date, and within the first 30 minutes, they both knew there was something special happening. They bonded over some incredible coincidences—like how McKenna's family dog is named Kirby, and even shares the same birthday as (human) Kirby. They also discovered that their moms were rivals in high school basketball and had actually played against each other, adding another layer of unexpected connection. But what really stood out was how deeply they both value their families. The date lasted well over two hours, and by the end of the night, they knew this was just the beginning.
From that first date, they’ve been inseparable. Whether it’s cheering on the Aggies at football games, curling up on the couch watching crime shows, hanging out at the lake with friends and family, having pool days, or enjoying family dinners, they’ve found in each other a true reflection of love. These moments are irreplaceable.
